Access Statement

        Little Barnfield is a detached, light and spacious cottage for two situated in a quiet hamlet. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call. The cottage is centrally heated with thermostatically controlled radiators. We look forward to welcoming you.

  • There is a limited bus service from the village.
  • The nearest train station is Moreton-in-Marsh (8miles): there are accessible taxis at the station
  • We can provide information in large print on request. 

 

  • Arrival & Parking Facilities

 

  • There is parking for one car at the front of the cottage
  •  The ground is level and the surface is Cotswold chippings.
  • There is outside lighting 

 

                   Entrance to the cottage

  • There is one 15cm (6") step up into the open plan living area.
  • The stable door is left hinged and is 81cm (32") wide.
  • The flooring throughout the ground floor is pale wood and there are three rugs.
  • Lighting throughout the ground floor is small halogen, ceiling lights. 

 

 

  Lounge/dining area

  • The living/dining area is open plan
  • Walls are decorated in soft, pale colour.
  • There are three large windows and one smaller.
  • The dining table is round (height 71cm 28") and there are three padded dining chairs.
  • In the living area there are two large, comfortable, leather armchairs.
  • There is a TV with remote control.  DVD and radio/CD player
  • There are two reading lights.

 

                    The kitchen

 

  • The well equipped kitchen is open plan with the dining area.
  • The Shaker style units are pale in colour, both wall mounted and floor standing.
  • The continuous work surfaces are beechwood effect and are 90cm (35.5")
  • There is an electric cooker which has a drop-down door for the grill and left hinged oven door.

  • Passage way leads to a left- hinged stable door(width 66cm 26") with 10cm (4") step into garden

    The Staircase

 

  • The staircase leads from the sitting area and is carpeted.
  • There are three steps, a small platform and then a turn to the right.
  • The hand rail  is on the right.
  • There is wooden flooring on the small landing area
  • There is a skylight window.
  • Smoke alarm 

 

                 The Bathroom

  • The bathroom is to the left with right hinged door.
  • There is one window with large opening casement
  • The ceiling is sloping
  • Full-sized bath with hand-held mixer shower
  • Wash hand basin is free standing.
  • Two ceiling spotlights
  • Wall mounted lighted shaving socket

 

The Bedroom

 

  • The bedroom has wooden floor and two bedside rugs.
  • The ceiling is sloping.
  • There is a skylight window and a small character, slit-window.

  •  Mobile reception is variable, guests are welcome use of a phone if necessary 
  • There is a 'Strictly No Smoking' policy in any part of  the cottage.
  •  In the interests of fire safety - please do not light candles
  • Heating is thermostatically controlled and adjustable by room thermostat and by individual  radiator thermostats in each room.
